IMT-GT Grant 2025

INTRODUCTION

The IMT-GT Grant offers financial support for IMT-GT stakeholders to implement projects/studies/activities that align with and contribute to the achievement of the IMT-GT Implementation Blueprint (IB) 2022-2026 and IMT-GT Vision 2036 targets.

Objectives of this Grant:

1. Facilitate the implementation of subregional initiatives within the eight pillars of IMT-GT cooperation;

2. Catalyse the implementation of collaborative projects/studies/activities involving the three Member Countries; and

3. Support IMT-GT stakeholders in achieving the IB 2022-2026 and IMT-GT Vision 2036 targets.

ELIGIBILITY

This Grant is eligible for all IMT-GT stakeholders, including members of Working Groups, Sub Working Groups, Project Implementation Teams, Chief Ministers’ and Governors’ Forum (CMGF), Task Forces, Joint Business Council, and University Network; and

Individuals are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for the grant.

SCOPE AND GRANT AMOUNT

1. A total of RM 50,000 is allocated for the IMT-GT Grant in 2025;

2. The grant may cover the full cost of IMT-GT projects and activities OR be used as supplementary financing to complement existing funds;

APPLICATION TIMELINE

The timeline of the IMT-GT Grant 2025 is as follows:

1. Proposal submission         : April – June 2025

2. Evaluation of proposal       : June – July 2025

3. Awarding of Grant                : August 2025

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The applicants are required to submit the project or activity proposal (Annex A1 or A2) to CIMT.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION:

The application should be submitted by email to:

Application submission must include in the email subject line “IMT-GT Grant 2025 – [Project/Programme/Activities Name/Title]”.

The Application Form, along with all related documents, must be submitted before the deadline 14 June 2025.
